我國(guó)實(shí)現(xiàn)18個(gè)量子比特糾纏 再次刷新世界紀(jì)錄

據(jù)新華社合肥7月2日電(記者 徐海濤)多量子比特的操縱和糾纏是量子計(jì)算研究的核心指標(biāo)。記者從中國(guó)科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)獲悉,近期該校教授潘建偉及其同事陸朝陽(yáng)、劉乃樂(lè)、汪喜林等通過(guò)調(diào)控六個(gè)光子的偏振、路徑和軌道角動(dòng)量三個(gè)自由度,在國(guó)際上首次實(shí)現(xiàn)18個(gè)光量子比特的糾纏,刷新了所有物理體系中最大糾纏態(tài)制備的世界紀(jì)錄。國(guó)際權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)期刊《物理評(píng)論快報(bào)》日前發(fā)表了該成果。

多個(gè)量子比特的相干操縱和糾纏態(tài)制備是發(fā)展可擴(kuò)展量子信息技術(shù),特別是量子計(jì)算的最核心指標(biāo)。量子計(jì)算的速度將隨著可操縱的糾纏比特?cái)?shù)目的增加,從而指數(shù)級(jí)提升。但要實(shí)現(xiàn)多個(gè)量子比特的糾纏,需要進(jìn)行高精度、高效率的量子態(tài)制備和獨(dú)立量子比特之間相互作用的精確調(diào)控。同時(shí)隨著量子比特?cái)?shù)目的增加,操縱時(shí)所帶來(lái)的噪聲、串?dāng)_和錯(cuò)誤也隨之增加。這對(duì)量子體系的設(shè)計(jì)、加工和調(diào)控要求極高,成為量子糾纏和量子計(jì)算發(fā)展的巨大挑戰(zhàn)。
